Experience some of Japan’s most amazing flavors and develop a deeper understanding of why Japanese cuisine is so exquisite and unique. Learn about the food from the different regions of Japan, the process of how to make them and why they come from those areas.

On this tour, you will visit 8 shops, and taste more than 13 different types of food, each representing different regions of Japan, seasonal flavors and the building blocks of Japanese cuisine. You will enjoy exploring a special regional food shop. And taste some amazing green teas from an innovative and yet traditional shop! Enjoy lunch at a very serene, authentic place.

Next, you will enjoy an authentic Japanese “must do” activity, Wagashi experience with a Wagashi master that will make an intricately handcrafted dessert in front of you. Wagashi are traditional Japanese cakes also known as “art of the five senses.” These desserts offer layer-upon-layer of enjoyment with their beautiful design, delicate sweetness and pleasant taste. This will be served with very high-quality Matcha.

Our final stop will be in an innovative and amazing green tea shop. We will have the change to taste seasonal teas and even bring some wonderful tea souvenirs home with you.

This tour is great for guests who prefer a little less walking and perfect if you want a relaxed pace for your food experience. This is an overview course about the cuisine of Japan!

Monday to Friday 

• 10:15 - 10:30 am: Meet at the Starbucks close to Nihonbashi Bridge
• 10:30 am: Tour starts and explore 
• 10:40 am: Visit 8 food stops: different flavors, traditions, and regions and of Japanese cuisine and tea
• 11:30 pm: See a traditional stationary shop with 100 years of history and Japan’s oldest and most expensive fruit shop
• 12:00 pm: Have a delicious lunch at a very serene, authentic place
• 12:45 pm: Enjoy an authentic Wagashi Experience with a Wagashi master
• 1:30 pm: End with a unique tea tasting of seasonal and artisanal green and black teas at a one-of-a-kind shop
