Cooking Lesson with Farming, Cycling, Lantern Making and Basket Boat

What to Expect

Our team is full of energy and personality, super friends and knowledgeable about the culture and history of the Countryside. Our highest priority is to bring the most memorable and satisfying experience to all of you visiting Hoi An. With the full-day trip, we bring you from this village to that village, you participate in activities in each village, we explain you all history of every village, the culture of the region and the life of the local people that you can never find in the books.

The first stop by a local lantern making shop to do a lesson in lantern making. We will teach you the history of lantern making in Hoi An. Lanterns were brought by the Chinese but were all one shape with a thick wood frame. You will ride on the less traveled paths through the small villages and the open countryside on the first half and cycle more in the rural countryside. Keep Biking to Thanh Nam Fishing Village (meeting local fisherman, seeing the fish, crabs, squid, cath) then cycle to Cam Thanh Village. Then take a bamboo basket boat to Water Coconut Palm Forest, have fun to catch crab around the village. You will see and discover the real countryside of Hoi An, help you understanding the people native in the region.

Cycle to Tra Que Vegetables Village, you will ride on the less traveled paths through the small villages and the open countryside on the first half and cycle more in the rural countryside such as shrimp farm, duck farms, cows, birds, buffalo, bamboo, vegetable. Then head to the cooking studio to and start cooking! Make authentic Vietnamese dishes for lunch (Tam Huu Spring Roll, Crispy Vietnamese Pancakes ‘Bánh Xèo’ – a local pancake of people in Viet Nam middle region.

Schedule

• 8:30 am: Meet the tour guide at your hotel
• 8:45 am: Making local lantern in Hoi An
• 9:30 am: Biking to Thanh Nam Fishing Village and Cam Thanh Village
• 10:15 am: Take a bamboo basket boat to Water Coconut Palm Forest
• 11:15 am: Cycle to Tra Que Vegetables Village
• 12:15 pm: Arrived at the cooking studio, welcome drink, walking around the garden village
• 12:30 pm: Farming Activities: hoeing soil, using seaweed, planting and watering vegetable
• 1:15 pm: Start cooking delicious food: 2-3 Vietnamese dishes
• 1:45 pm: Enjoy lunch with the dishes you've cooked & more dishes
• 2:30 pm: Back to your hotel
