Authentic Italian Cooking Experience in Milan

What to Expect

With the attentive guidance of Chef Elisa and her staff, you'll learn how to make 4 traditional Italian dishes from scratch. 

During this authentic experience, the team will teach your how to prepare some of the most famous Italian dishes, such as; fresh pasta, various kinds of sauces to go with it, dough for pizza and bread, various vegetables/meat/fish main dishes, and iconic desserts like tiramisù, panna cotta or cannolo siciliano. 

Together you'll prepare all the dishes with the help of an impressive show cooking by the chef, you'll learn how to plate your creation so the eyes get something as well! Afterward, the whole group enjoys what has been cooked.

You won't only take knowledge of the Italian cuisine and its recipes home with you, but you'll also get the apron of the cooking school! 

The chef will decide the menu for the day depending on the seasonal availability of ingredients, but you can express your preferences during the booking.

(Children from age 6 to 10 years who are accompanied by an adult cook for free!)

Menu

You'll cook 4 of the following recipes (the menu will be decided by the chef but you can express your preferences during the booking):

Starters

• Gnocco fritto with Parma ham
• Panzerotto with mozzarella and ham
• Zucchini flowers (fried)
• Bruschetta with basil leaves and cherry tomatoes
• Arancino (rice fried ball filled with mozzarella, pistachio & ham)

Pasta

• Tagliatelle and Bolognese sauce
• Orecchiette with clams and datterini tomatoes
• Cavatelli & pesto sauce (basil leaves)
• Tagliolini withCarbonara sauce
• Tortellini with meat stock
• Ravioli filled with ricotta & spinach
• Lasagna vegetarian, fish & meat sauce (one of your choice)
• Risotto
• Risotto Milanese with saffron
• Risotto “ Caprese” with mozzarella cheese and cherry tomatoes
• Risotto with prosecco and Parmigiano cheese

From oven

• Crespelle Fiorentina (filled with ricotta, spinaches, Parmigiano & tomato sauce)
• Pizza
• Focaccia from Genoa

Fish & Meat

• Beccafico anchovies from Sicily with laurel, breadcrumbs, raisins, orange, pine nuts & parsley
• Saltimbocca in roman style
• Abbacchio (lamb with a precious sauce prepared with sage leaves, garlic, vinegar & anchovies)

Side dish

• Caponata from Sicily
• Parmigiana eggplant

Desserts

• Cannolo Siciliano
• Tiramisù
• Chocolate mousse
• Panna cotta with strawberries 

Schedule

Morning Session: 

• 9:00 am: Meet up at Duomo Square in front of the statue of Vittorio Emanuele II (the metro ticket will be provided)
• 10:00 am: Arrival at the location, welcome with Italian coffee
• 10:15 am: We'll begin our class with the introduction to the recipes and ingredients
• 10:30 am: Start hands-on cooking class
• 12:15 am: Show-Cooking time! 
• 12:30 pm: Lunch is served
• 1:30 pm: End of class

Afternoon Session:

• 4:00 pm: Meet up at Duomo Square in front of the statue of Vittorio Emanuele II (the metro ticket will be provided)
• 5:00 pm: Arrival at the location, welcome with an Italian aperitivo and some finger food
• 5:15 pm: Introduction to recipes and ingredients
• 5:30 pm: Start hands-on cooking class 
• 7:15 pm: Show-Cooking time! 
• 7:30 pm: Dinner is served
• 8:30 pm: End of class
