A Full Day of Food Tour and Cooking Class in the Culinary & Traditional City of Lima

What to Expect

A great tour to learn from the Peruvian gastronomy, the popular art and the traditions of Lima. First, test your senses by tasting the local products in a local market. Visit Chinatown, the largest in South America and taste some of the so special Peruvian-Chinese food. 

You will also have a look at the Historic Centre of Lima observing its monuments and its elegant architecture, as we will pass by. Then, you will meet a chef and visit his famous restaurant where you will be able to go in the kitchen to observe the making of ceviche, a great gastronomic experience! 

Next, you will enjoy a walk around the streets of Barranco, known as the bohemian district of Lima, visit some shops for the best handicraft coming from all the corners in Peru. Finally, visit a local restaurant to taste the well known traditional Peruvian dessert called picarones, made of squash and sweet potatoes.

• 9:15 am: Visit of local market
• 11:00 am: Arrival at Chinatown
• 11:30 am: Taste mixture of Peruvian and Chinese food
• 1:00 pm: Meet chef to learn how to make Limean ceviche.
• 2:00 pm: Lunch
• 3:00 pm: Explore the district of Barranco
• 4:00 pm: Taste Picarones, Peruvian traditional desert.
• 5:00 pm: Back to hotel.
