What to Expect

With this class, anyone will be able to replicate the delicious aromas and flavors present in a Mexican carne asada, a cornerstone of the culture of the north of the country. You will know what how to identify the sights, smells and of a special piece of meat to grill on the charcoal, to taste several beef, chicken and beef cuts, as well as vegetables to prepare the salsas and side dishes that accompany them. All this, prepared as it is done in the north of the country, with a touch of Guanajuato of course!

We will start seasoning and marinating the meats in different ways. For those that are marinated in advance, I will explain how and why it is done. We will prepare the vegetables to turn them into beautiful garnishes while the flames of the charcoal flames are tame. While we carry out this process, we will refresh ourselves with a beer or the Mexican infallible michelada, as well as a rich mezcal or tequila, with some typical snacks from the Bajío area.

We will be able to taste the different ways of preparing the meat in several states of the north of the country and the Bajío.

Schedule

• 2:00 pm: Meet at cook's house, introduction and start cooking with a previously made snack.
• 2:20 pm: Light charcoal and prepare the marinades.
• 2:50pm: Cook away while enjoying a few beers or micheladas.
• 5:00pm: Finish barbecue to enjoy what we have cooked.
• 6:00pm: Say our goodbyes.
