Polish Christmas Cooking Class with Professional Chef

What to Expect

Christmas is by far the most important celebration in Poland, with many dishes only eaten on that day every year. 

During this experience, you will learn how to make Polish dumplings with sauerkraut for our Christmas dinner together. 

We'll also enjoy other popular Christmas dishes, including marinated herrings, beetroot soup with mushroom-stuffed dumplings, and a festive poppy seed dessert. These dishes need to be prepared in advance, which is why we will only be tasting the dishes (and not cooking them from scratch). 

In addition to the meal, we will introduce you to the famous Polish Christmas table traditions, such as breaking wafers and setting an extra plate on the table. Make sure you come hungry! 

Please note: This class is only available in December and there is a discount for larger groups (let us know when you book).  

Menu

Food:

• Beetroot soup with mushroom stuffed dumplings 
• Dumplings with sauerkraut
• Festive poppy seed dessert 

Drinks:

• tasting of delicious Polish liqueurs or a soft drink

Schedule

• 5:30 pm: Begin the class and introduction to Polish Christmas culinary customs
• 5:40 pm: Dumpling-making class
• 6:30 pm: Enjoy beetroot soup with dumplings
• 6:45 pm: Enjoy dumplings with sauerkraut and/or meat
• 7:30 pm: Enjoy poppy seed dessert 

The exact duration of the class also depends on the number of participants.
