What to Expect

Our cooking class provides an immersive experience in traditional Vietnamese cooking and culture. The sounds,
sights, smells, and tastes found in a typical Viet market are emblematic of daily life here, shaping the contours of
Vietnamese cuisine.

Our luxurious local villa of 600m2 area with a nice garden then is very promising for you to slacken your furious pace
of life. It is not a professional cooking school but an immeasurable experience to enjoy freshness in our green
garden while we are sharing common spiritual values through Rose Kitchen instructors’ cultural stories and tales.
You will do cooking our iconic recipes together like an authentic Vietnamese family usually does. And your meal is
ready afterward!

Menu

1. Nộm Hoa Chuối/Banana Flower Salad: A special appetizer from fresh Banana flowers, vegetables, and herbs.

2. Bún Chả/ Obama Noodles - BBQ (Pork) with Dipping Sauce: Sweet and sour dipping sauce with flavorsome marinated pork, Chef Anthony Bourdain and the Former President of the USA - Mr. Barack Obama enjoyed them!

3. Nem/ Vietnamese Fried Spring-rolls: Nem and Bún Chả will be the best combination for you to feel the sound of crispy rolls and taste the full flavor of fresh meat or tofu, mushrooms, vegetables dipped in sweet and sour sauce.

4. Cafe Trứng/ Egg Coffee (or Chocolate): Egg yolks, condensed milk, honey - altogether in a creamy custard floating on Vietnamese black coffee/ chocolate. (or another dessert for vegan)

This is our best iconic 4-dish menu that almost everybody would like to try in Hanoi.

(Don’t worry if you prefer a vegetarian/vegan meal, veggie versions are available!)

Schedule

Morning Session 

• 9:00-9:15 am: Get picked up from your hotel (in the Old Quarter). The number of participants is up to 10/ class.
• 9:30 am: Take a walk to local market to buy ingredients and get a fascinating glimpse into local culture
• 10:30 am: Transfer to local villa where you'll join cooking activities together like an authentic Vietnamese family and listen to our cultural stories
• 1:00 pm: Enjoy your own cooking creation and numerous food from instructor and taste unique and special local wines
• 1:30 - 2:00pm: Cooking Class ends and get dropped off at your hotel (in the Old Quarter) 

Afternoon Session

• 3:00-3:15 pm: Get picked up from your hotel (in the Old Quarter). The number of participants is up to 10/ class.
• 3:30 pm: Take a walk to local market to buy ingredients and get a fascinating glimpse into local culture
• 3:50 pm: Transfer to local villa where you'll join cooking activities together like an authentic Vietnamese family and listen to our cultural stories
• 6:30 pm: Enjoy your own cooking creation and numerous food from instructor and taste unique and special local wines
• 7:30 - 8:00pm: Cooking Class ends and get dropped off at your hotel (in the Old Quarter)
