What to Expect

Come and discover a beautiful city and incredible Basque cuisine on our 3-hour tour of the "pintxos" in Bilbao. Experience the streets of 700 years of the old town with a professional local guide, expert in the culinary scene of Bilbao. We will visit 4 bars and try pintxos styles that go from traditional to modern. Your guide will combine each tasting with an excellent wine that complements the pintxo. The wines we recommend include red wine from La Rioja, txakolí (sparkling white wine from the Basque coast) and many others.

• We will do like the Basques. A tour through the bars of the old town of Bilbao with a local guide born and raised in Bilbao. This unique gastronomic experience is a must when visiting the Basque Country.
• The pintxo is the Basque version of the Spanish tapa and it is taken accompanied by a typical drink (usually wine or small beer). The Basques show their love for gastronomy with these delicious gourmet sandwiches that are found throughout the city.
• The pintxos can be very elaborate or simple and you will find something for all tastes. We will also taste some great wines on the tour.
• We know the best bars in the city. On the Internet many are mentioned, but you can enjoy some of the best establishments that are less known in a tour of the pintxos of Bilbao. We know which are the best pintxos to order in each bar.
• We will also make a private guided tour to Casco Viejo or the old town of Bilbao, which dates back to the 14th century.
  Among the stops in the bars, we will indicate places like the cathedral of Santiago, the church of San Antón, the Ribera market, etc.
• Pick up at the meeting point and you will get to know the old part of the city tasting the traditional gastronomy.
