Guests say the class offers a relaxed, clean setting where a charismatic instructor guides participants through hands‑on cooking using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The experience blends detailed explanations of medicinal herbs with authentic Balinese vegan recipes, resulting in delicious, hearty dishes. Learners appreciate the balanced mix of discussion, demonstration, and active preparation, and many highlight the friendly, supportive staff and the memorable taste of the coconut sorbet finale.
The Casa Luna cooking school is a world-famous culinary center that provides a fascinating insight into Balinese life and culture through learning about its food, cooking, and culinary myths. Classes are a part demonstration, part hands-on and are held in the lush grounds of the Second Honeymoon Guesthouse.
Participants learn about the exotic herbs and spices used in ceremonial and everyday dishes with a focus on their unique healing properties. A lavish Balinese feast is then prepared together and enjoyed with homemade hibiscus tea.
