Mediterranean Cooking Class with Chef Salvatore in Positano

Our courses take place at Il Ritrovo Restaurant in Montepertuso, a small village located on a clifftop rising one thousand feet above sea-level, that boasts breath-taking views of the Mediterranean. 

Here, where the sun is always shining (at least in the friendly smiles of the people!), Salvatore will teach you the secrets of Mediterranean cuisine and you'll learn how to cook fabulous meal using fresh and natural ingredients. 

Outdoors on our flower-filled terrace, we have a second kitchen where you'll learn how to make the very best pizza and bread. We'll also teach you which wines complement which dishes, how to set up a table, and how to create a unique atmosphere for a special event. 

Most importantly, at the end of the lesson, all the dishes will be enjoyed in a feast on the terrace, which overlooks a stunning sea view. Your culinary accomplishment will be toasted with local wines while we all sing “O sole mio”.

We can also arrange for a trip to our beautiful green hills after the cooking class.

• Zucchini flowers stuffed with cheese and fried with beer tempura 
• Ravioli stuffed with 4 cheeses with fresh tomatoes sauce and tagliatelle with fresh tomatoes and basil
• Fish with lemon or white wine or escalope with white wine, lemon or balsamic vinegar
• "Ugly but good" merengue and hazelnut cookies 
• Vegetables, cheeses, fruits and desserts
• Local wine, water, coffee

• 3:00 pm: Arrive at the school and enjoy a welcome drink and finger food
• 3:30 pm: Start the hands-on food preparation
• 8:30 pm: Enjoy a feast of what you've made on the sea view terrace
• 9:30 pm: End of class with happy faces all around
