体験内容

During this class, you will learn how to make Cambodian food in only 3.5 hours and be a chef for the day.

Chef Ratanak is very passionate about sharing his cooking knowledge and experience. He will show you how to prepare authentic Khmer cuisine exactly as his mother taught him. You will also learn the history and techniques of these traditional dishes. Then you will enjoy your prepared food for lunch or dinner.

Before starting the cooking class, we will pick you up from your hotel in the Siem Reap area. We will experience and explore the local market (called Old Market and located in the central market area) to see and purchase the typical varieties of fresh vegetables, meats, Asian dried goods, and exotic foods. While we are cooking, the chef also as some fun tricks to show the new ingredients, herbs, and spices and how to create your dishes. He will also share the secret, famous dishes behind Cambodian cuisine. While enjoying the food that you prepared, soft drinks will also be provided.

very homely

I and my partner really enjoyed this cooking class - the teachers English is great and he was able to ansfer all sort of questions we had not only about the food but also about Cambodia. The atmosfere was great and we will definitely will try some of the recepies at home, where the ingredients allow ^_^

One of the highlights of my trip to Cambodia

I was so lucky to have been the only person on the day I booked and to have 1:1 tuition from Ratanak, a fully trained chef with superb English and a great sense of humour. He is clearly passionate about his work and I chose his lesson as the menu was a bit more imaginative than some others. It was definitely the right decision as it was brilliant from start to finish. We started with the market tour which was very interesting and he spent a good half hour walking me round, picking up unusual vegetables and herbs to smell, showing me different foods and explaining how they were prepared. He even introduced me to black chickens! Then it was a short tuktuk ride to his kitchen where we prepared 4 delicious dishes. Grinding all the herbs and spices was hard work and really showed the complexity of Khmer cooking but it made the dishes full of flavour. Black sticky rice with caramelised pineapple was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten and had me rushing back to the market the next day to buy sticky rice to take home. Don’t hesitate….just book! If you enjoy cooking you will love this.

Awesome and authentic Khmer food, great host

We did the cooking class with Ratanak and are totally happy with our decision! We had a wonderful time cooking, chatting and eventually eating very delicious Khmer dishes. It is very obvious how passionate Ratanak is about Khmer cuisine, and he explained everything step by step. As refreshment we had the best coconut ever! We can highly recommend this cooking class!

Such a Wonderful Experience!

Ratanak (Nak) was so full of knowledge and joy teaching our intimate class. After wandering through the market answering our questions, we took a tuk tuk to a breezy rooftop where we began cooking our feast! We made 4 delicious dishes I cannot wait to bring back to Canada with me and cook for my family! This was one of my favourite experiences while in Siem Reap.

Amazing and delicious

The cooking class with Ratanak (Nak) was amazing! We were fortunate enough to be the only two on that morning and he took us to the market, where he explained a lot about the rural goods sold there. Before we went to his kitchen he showed us around the area where the locals grow their herbs and vegetables. It was so much fun and delicious in top of that! Can't recommend it enough!
