Smoke Your Own Ham with Japanese Lunch in Tokyo

Smoking ham: Together, we’ll prepare freshly smoked ham and other foods using no chemicals or artificial ingredients, coloring, or flavors with charcoal-grill. First the meat is prepped and boiled. Smoking process: We’ll complete the smoking process. You'll be involved in every step of the way.

Japanese lunch: While the meat boils, we’ll enjoy the Japanese lunch we provide, usually Tempura.

Free to join:

• Grocery shopping tour: For those interested, we can show around the nearby grocery store (Seiyu) to explain about Japanese ingredients.
• Freshly smoked ham to bring home: At the end of this experience, you can bring the ham or other smoked foods to enjoy at home if there's some left.

• 11:00 am: Meet at our workshop, introduction and meat preparation
• 11:45 am: Start boiling meat, prepare for lunch
• 12:00 pm: Enjoy Japanese lunch
• 1:00 pm: Prepare for the smoking grill and preparing meat for smoke
• 1:30 pm: Grocery tour while ham is smoking
• 2:30 pm: Tasting Ham and other smoked products
