Gasten vertellen dat de ervaring zich afspeelt in een prachtige riad waar de sfeer zowel elegant als gastvrij is. De deelnemers beginnen met een korte les Arabisch, waarna ze samen verse ingrediënten kopen op een levendige lokale markt. De gastheer wordt geprezen om zijn diepgaande kennis, geduld en vrolijke persoonlijkheid. Hij begeleidt de gasten stap voor stap bij de bereiding van acht authentieke Marokkaanse gerechten. De kookles is zeer interactief: alle kookwerk wordt door de deelnemers zelf gedaan en er hoeft niet opgeruimd te worden.

Set in a lovingly restored riad in the heart of the Marrakech Medina, a variety of classes, Tasting Menu dinners, gourmet picnic days and culinary holidays are the life blood, whether it be for day foodies or those choosing to stay. It is certainly a destination “All About the Food” and a concept, like no other in Morocco!

The 8 dish lunch menu, is chosen at the beginning of the class. We offer suggestions as a starting point once we learn the preferred cooking style of the class, be it dinner parties, family cooking, BBQ or cooking for one!
Schema
- 8:50 am: Beginning of the class with a discussion over coffee as to the menu and the shopping list.
- 9:45 am: It’s off to the market, shopping in your new language.
- 10:45 am: you are standing at the prep table beginning with the chopping of the herbs and the making of the tea.
- 1:30 pm: Lunch
- 2:30 pm: The class winds up around now with the choosing of the any spices to buy to take home
Ontmoetingspunt
The cooking school is anything from a minute to 25 minutes walk from where you will be staying (if not at the House of Fusion) if inside the medina. Guests either take a cab or book our driver to come and then walk home or simply walk both ways.
The cooking school is inside the medina, a few minutes walk from the drop off point, should you wish to book our driver, at an extra charge of 120 dirhams, payable to the driver.
