Visiting a local market provides a fascinating insight into the culture of Bali. See Balinese daily activity in selecting fruits, vegetables and spices that used for cooking.

Visit Ricefield(paddy field)

See the rice field and learn how Balinese cultivating their land and growing rice. You will learn how "Subak" as a society of Balinese agrarian to manage(organize) their irrigation system.

Balinese House

Introduce a typical Balinese house compound where the concepts of construction followed Balinese architecture. 

Canang Sari(offering)

Make Bali offering for the Gods, Canang Sari which beautiful array of colorful flowers. A symbol of thankfulness to the Balinese Hindu to God.

Coconut Oil Making

Learn how a Balinese process coconut into oil which is the best for cooking.

Traditional Spice Making 

Make traditional Balinese spice paste from 17 spices, used as a base of many dished. It is very fragrant and sensational for your taste bud.

Cooking Class

Make traditional Balinese spice paste used as a Base for many dishes, learn how to make a Balinese dishes and then enjoy the foods you made

Periuk Bali Cooking Class provides two types of recipes, Regular and Vegetarian versions.
The meal will be served in buffet style with restaurant standard.

Regular Menu (with meat)

• Sup Ayam (Balinese chicken soup)
• Sayur Urab (Balinese vegetable salad)
• Nasi Putih (steam rice)
• Sate tusuk ayam (chicken satay)
• Pepes ikan (steam fish in banana leaf)
• Kari Ayam (Balinese chicken curry)
• Tempe manis (deep fried tempe in sweet soy sauce)
• Dadar gulung (rolled cake with coconut and palm sugar)
• Free water and fruit

Vegetarian Menu

• Sup Sayur (vegetables with mushroom)
• Sayur Urab (Balinese vegetable salad)
• Nasi Putih (steam rice)
• Sate tempe dan tahu (tofu and tempe satay)
• Pepes jamur (grilled mushroom in banana leaf)
• Kari Tahu Tempe (tofu and tempe curry)
• Tempe manis (deep fried tempe in sweet soy sauce)
• Dadar gulung (rolled cake with coconut and palm sugar)
• Free water and fruit

• 8:00 am: Visit Balinese traditional market
• 9:00 am: Visit the ricefield
• 10:00 am: Make Bali offering for the Gods (Canang Sari)
• 11:00 am: Start the cooking session
• 1:00 pm: Class ends

Afternoon Session

• 2:00-3:00 pm: Pick up from your hotel
• 3:00 pm: Visit the ricefield
• 4:00 pm: Make Bali offering for the Gods (Canang Sari)
• 5:00 pm: Start the cooking session
• 7:00 pm: Class ends

Note that there's no market tour for afternoon session as the market is already closed by that time
