Lanna Cooking Class with Food Market Shopping and Tour of the Golden Triangle

In this experience, you will get to experience how to cook Lanna food in a local open-air kitchen in the garden. We will begin at the Thai local market in Maesa District where you will learn tips on how to shop and choose ingredients for your menu. You will also experience how local Thai and Myanmar people live. Once we arrive at Bann Suan Auy Kham in Pangha Village, you can change into a traditional Lanna outfit while having a welcome drink and snack. Our kitchen is surrounded by many trees and herb plots so you will be able to relax and enjoy this class in a natural environment. During the class, you will learn the techniques to make your dishes from a local chef who has 35 years of experience in Lanna cooking. 

After we eat what we've prepared, we will visit the world-famous Golden Triangle where the border of three countries (Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar) connect, separated only by the Mekong River. We will also visit an ancient temple, Wat Phra Tard Jadey Luang, which is 721 years old and located in the royal Lanna town called Chiangsean, the ancient capital of the Lanna Kingdom. This experience is an incredible way to experience northern Thailand.

• Jor Pak Gard - Lanna vegetable soup with pork
• Larb Moo - Pork mix with Thai herb 

Set B

• Yum Jeen Kai - Lanna spicy chicken soup cooking with Thai herb and banana blossom
• Nam Prik Ma Keur Som -  Tomato sauce dip and boiled egg

Set C

• Kaeng Fugtong Moo - Lanna spicy pumpkin soup with pork
• Tum Makeur Yao - Eggplant dip 

Each cooking menu set can choose one dessert 

• Kanom Tua Pap - Mixed soft, sticky dough and then stuffed with steam soybean 
• Kanom Tuay - Coconut milk custard
• Kanom Kaeng Buad Fugtong - Sweet pumpkin mixed with coconut milk 
• Kanom Bua Loy - Sticky rice balls mixed with sweetener coconut milk

時間表

• 8.00 am: Pick up at your hotel with cold towels and drinking water provided
• 9.00 am: Shop at a local fresh market in Maesa District
• 9.45 am: Arrive at Bann Suan Auy Kham in Pangha village
• 10.00 am: Start cooking class
• 12.30 pm: Enjoy the main dish and dessert that you have cooked yourself
• 1.50 pm: Arrive at Golden Triangle
• 3.00 pm: Arrive at the royal Lanna capital called “ Chiangsean”
• 5.00 pm: Arrive back at your hotel
