Xin chào! 

I’m Lua Le, a business owner of Lua's Kitchen and Lua Saffron.

After 10 years working for law firms, I decided it was time to try my dream job as a home chef (since 2017). During the covid pandemic, I had to close the kitchen temporarily and started my online business of selling saffron and saffron skincare worldwide. I also love to travel (have visited 15 countries and still counting), to practice yoga, meditation and dance for a healthy mind and body.

I have re-opened the kitchen since Sept 2022. An experience in my cooking class is not just about cooking and eating home food but also about spending time together to talk, share stories, business, traveling experiences and cultures.

I have been cooking since I was 5 years old. I learned most of the Vietnamese traditional recipes in my family kitchen. I specialize in authentic and healthy home-style dishes and can tailor traditional menus to vegetarian/vegan palates, gluten-free, lactose-intolerant or special diets, etc. I use high-quality and universal ingredients, exclusive of MSG. We will start from scratch. I will guide you step by step through the cooking process with my cooking experience/tips to ensure you to get the best results and to repeat the cooking process in your own kitchen.

The below is a SAMPLE MENU to give you an idea of the types of dishes I offer.

The menu might vary. If you would like to learn to make something specific, please let me know at the time of booking.

1. Gỏi/Gỏi cuốn/Chả giò - Spring rolls/Mango/Green papaya/Pomelo salads;

2. Bún thịt nướng/ Bún bò - Beef/Chicken/Pork noodle with spices, herbs; and

3. Chè - Banana pudding with coconut milk and peanuts.

Other things to note:

- Market visit and pickup service NOT offered.

- Cook the same menu together with home setting (no separate station for each guest).

• 12:30 pm: End of class

Evening: 

• 5:00 pm: Meeting at the location
• 5:15 pm: Starting our class
• 7:00 pm: Enjoy your meal
• 7:30 pm: End of class
